CAUTION: The speed control I may be turned only between
numbers 1 and 6. Do not force the control beyond these
positions, otherwise it may break and fail to work.
STARTING THE TOOL
WARNING! The tool should not be in contact with the
surface of the part to be worked on when you start or stop it
- otherwise this could cause defective sanding or damage the
belt. To switch on the tool, pull the trigger switch H. Release
it to turn the tool off. and press the blocking button G. To stop
the tool when blocked, pull the trigger H again and release
it.
WORKING INSTRUCTIONS
To begin sanding, first hold the tool firmly in both hands.
Switch on the tool and wait until it reaches the required
speed. Then carefully place the tool on the surface of the part
to be sanded. Keep the belt against the work constantly and
move the machine backwards and for-wards without pressing
too hard. Never force the tool.
The weight of the tool is sufficient to give adequate
performance and pressure. Excessive pressure may cause
jamming, overheating of the motor, burning of the part being
sanded and recoil.
Use the right type of belt for the surface being sanded and
the desired results.
CAUTION: Whilst sanding, always keep the lead to the back
of the machine to avoid it getting caught.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE
WARNING! Always unplug the machine before carrying out
work on it.
- Inspect the mounting screws: Regularly inspect all the
mounting screws and ensure they are firmly tightened.
Should any screw be loose, tighten it immediately.
Failure to do so could put you at serious risk.
- Motor maintenance: Never press too hard when using the
sander. Excessive pressure may produce an over-load and
damage the motor or the part being sanded.
- Brush replacement: The brushes disconnect automati-cally
and should be replaced after 150-00 hours’ use or when
they are less than 10 mm long. Have them replaced by an
Official Service Centre.
- To clean the sander thoroughly after use, unplug it from the
mains and use a dry brush to clean all orifices.
- The vents of the machine should be kept clear at all times.
Use a clean damp cloth to clean the protective covers (do not
use solvents, petrol or turpentine).
- Check that the mains lead is in good condition. If it is not,
take it to an Official Service Centre to have it replaced.
- Use only FELESATTI accessories and spares. The parts the
changing of which is not covered in this instruction manual,
should be replaced in a FELESATTI Official Service Centre
