Rear Gear Case Lubrication
Which the ATV on the a level surface, remove fill plug and visually
inspect the lubricant level through
the fill hole (1).Lubricant should be
kept even with the center of the drill
point (2) approximately 1 5/8”
(41 mm) below the top of the fill hole.
NOTE: Do not add lubricant to the bottom of
the fill plug threads. The correct gear case lubricant
to use is SEA 90 Weight Gear Lube.
Oil Changing Procedure
1. Remove drain plug (3). Catch and
discard used oil properly.
2. Clean and reinstall the drain plug
with a new sealing washer and
tighten securely (14 ft. lbs./19 Nm).
3. Remove fill plug and add 10 ounces
(300 ml) of SAE90 Weight
Gear Lubricant and oil level. Oil level should be kept even with the center of the drill
point (approximately 1 5/8”41mm below the top of the fill hole).
4. Reinstall the fill plug. Tight securely (14 ft. lbs./19 Nm).
5. Check for leaks.
