5.1 Antenna Connection
The TNC socket for connecting the external antenna is located on the lower side of the reader.
The maximum tightening torque for the TNC sockets is 0.69 Nm (6.11 lbf in).
For the power supply of external components, e.g. the UHF antenna multiplexer ID ISC.ANT.UMUX, it is
possible to apply the V
CC
voltage of the reader (24 V DC / max. 500 mA) directly to the antenna cable. The
antenna port must be configured accordingly in the reader. This option is not possible when powering the
reader via PoE.

CAUTION:
•
Exceeding the tightening torque will destroy the antenna connection.
•
The activation of the supply voltage on the antenna cable can damage the antennas from other
manufacturers. It is recommended to use high-resistance UHF antennas. For any further
