-
When the test leads are connected to the current input terminals, do not
connect the test leads in parallel to any circuit otherwise the fuses or the
instrument will be damaged.
-
Especially when making high DC current measurements, once the
measurement is finished, first turn off the instrument and then disconnect the
measurement probe terminals from the circuit.
-
It is forbidden to insert a voltage higher than 36V DC or 25V DC between the
current jack and the COM jack.
DIODES AND ON-OFF TEST
•
Insert the black lead of the measurement probe into the COM port of the multimeter.
•
Insert the red lead of the measurement probe into the V/
Ω
/Hz port of the multimeter (the
red lead corresponds to the po pole)
•
Turn the selector to the function
, select the diode function by pressing the
SELECT button and contact the measuring probe tips with the diode. The value read on
the display is an approximation of the diode voltage drop. For silicon p-n junctions,
500inV~800inV should be considered as normal values.
FREQUENCY MEASUREMENT
•
Insert the black lead of the measurement probe into the COM port of the multimeter.
•
Insert the red lead of the measurement probe into the V/
Ω
/Hz port of the multimeter (the
red lead corresponds to the po pole)
•
Turn the selector to the Hz symbol of the frequency and connect the test leads to the
point to be measured.
NOTE
-
In conditions of ambient noise, it is recommended to use shielded cables if the
signal is weak.
-
Pay particular attention when carrying out measurements on high voltage
circuits to avoid dangerous electric shocks to the operator.
-
Do not work with input voltages higher than 250V in DC or AC peak.
KEEP DATA/BACKLIGHT IS ON/OFF
Press the HOLD key to store the data and press the HOLD key for 3 seconds to turn the
display backlight on or off. The display backlight turns off automatically after 15 seconds.
AUTOMATIC STARTUP & SHUTDOWN
After 15 minutes of non-use, the device automatically turns off and enters sleep mode. To
turn it back on, position the selector on OFF and rotate it to the desired function. To
deactivate the automatic switch-off function, press the SELECT button and rotate the
selector at the same time: the APO symbol will no longer appear on the display.
