Aim of the manual
This manual is produced by the manufacturer to provide operating instructions and criteria to be
followed during assembly, disassembly, part replacement, servicing and fine tuning adjustments of
the steam steriliser, referred to hereinafter also as equipment.
These instructions are for expert operators who have been duly trained by FARO Authorised
Service Centres.
The original instructions are supplied by the manufacturer in english and concern the model
mentioned on the front cover.
In order to meet certain legal or business requirements, the original instructions may be translated
into other languages.
The symbols shown and described below are used in the manual to highlight important information
or operations involving a certain level of risk in terms of safety.
Danger - Warning
This indicates information or procedures which, if ignored, could seriously put the health and safety
of those involved at risk.
Caution - Care
This indicates information or procedures which, if ignored, could put the health and safety of those
involved at risk and cause economic damage.
Information
This indicates useful and important information or procedures which must not be neglected.
General safety rules
Any action involves a risk, i.e. the possibility that a situation could occur which results in injury or
damage of some kind to persons and/or property.A risk is not a harmful event in itself but simply
the possibility that it may occur; there-fore, the risk in question can be anticipated and averted by
taking the utmost care and suitable preventive measures.Personnel authorised to work on or
operate the machine must be suitable for such tasks and must carry out the operations according
to the instructions contained in this manual and in conformity with safety regulations foreseen by
the law in force.All operations must be carried out with the machine disconnected from power
sourc-es and all necessary measures must be adopted to operate safely.Worn or damaged
components must be replaced with original spare parts.Components and waste material must be
disposed of in compliance with the law in force concerning waste collection, sorting and disposal.
In compliance with the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directive all electrical
and electronic components must be disposed of separately from household waste; they must be
collected, sorted and disposed of in special centres because they are potentially harmful for the
environment and human health.Unlawful disposal of “Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment”
(WEEE) is punish-able by sanctions according to the laws in force.
