(3)Emergency discharge device(Fig.5-5)
A by-pass door is provided at the conical feeding inlet of pelletizing chamber of the pellet mill. If
feeding rate into ring die too fast, the mash will accumulate in the pelletizing chamber, causing the
load on motor to climb up. Once the motor load exceeds the rated level, the pneumatic cylinder will
open the by-pass door automatically to discharge the mash via the by-pass; after the motor load
returns back to normal range, the by-pass door will be closed automatically and the machine will
resume normal running.

(4)Safety speed sensor

A safety speed sensor is amounted nearby the belt pulley of countershaft to sense the rotation
speed.

A speed sensor instrument is available on the control panel to display the rotation speed of the
countershaft belt pulley, which can set the minimum rotation speed for the belt pulley.

When the pellet mill is overloaded or the V-belt too loose to slip, main motors of pellet mill will
be stopped immediately in case of sensing the rotation speed of countershaft belt pulley less than
the rated value, so as to prevent the V-belt from damage.
