11.11.2 Set the limits of the work zones (G120/G121/G123).
The CNC lets set the work zones using the following functions. A work zone may be limited
in all the axes of the channel.
The limits of the work zones are defined in machine coordinates. Basically, a work zone is
defined by programming the lower limit coordinate and the upper limit coordinate in one or
several axes of the channel. It is also possible to combine a circular area in two of the axes
with lower limits and upper limits in other axes of the channel.
Programming. Set linear limits of a zone.
Program function G120 (lower limits) or G121 (upper limits) and then the zone number and
the limits on each axis, in machine coordinates.
Programming format.
The programming format is the following; the arguments appear between curly brackets.
G120 K{zone} X..C{limit}
G121 K{zone} X..C{limit}
Name of the axis and zone limit.
The limits of the work zone may be defined in all the axes of the channel, in machine
coordinates. Both limits of a zone (lower and upper) may be positive or negative; but the lower
limits must be smaller than the upper ones.
The work zone limits on the cross axis of a lathe type machine are always defined in radius,
regardless of the setting of parameter DIAMPROG and the active function G151/G152.
G120
Set lower linear limits of the work zone.
G121
Set upper linear limits of the work zone.
G123
Set circular limits of the work zone.
K{zone}
Zone number (between 1 and 5).
X..C{limit}
Lower limit (G120) or the upper limit (G121) of the zone, in machine coordinates.
Units: Millimeters, inches or degrees.
G120 K1 X20 Y20
(Set the lower limits of zone 1 in the X Y axes)
G121 K1 X100 Y50
(Set the upper limits of zone 1 in the X Y axes)
