3 Utility Software for GG-H16
Utility software for the GG-H16 includes Firmware Map Utility (GGH16LD.EXE) and Navigation
Data Utility (GGH16SYN.EXE), which can support Windows 98/ME/2000/XP operating system.
3-1 Firmware Map Utility
The GG-H16 provides with 32MB memory of map data and 2MB memory of firmware. You can use
GGH16LD to perform update for firmware and map data. Data files are formed as follows:

Burner software for the GGH16LD is operated as follows:
(1) PC interface cable with car cigarette lighter adapter is used to connect with the GG-H16.
(2) Press the F2 key and the POWER key on the GG-H16 simultaneously to enter the updated
mode. The screen will display a test mode at this time.
(3) The GGH16LD.EXE is executed at the PC. The settings are as follows:
1. To set communication port: COM1, COM2
…
2. To set Chip Selection: CS0 or MAP
3. File Selection: *.S
4. Other options can use default value and then press [Execute] to burn data.
(4) After update is completed, the POWER key in GG-H16 will be pressed to shut POWER
and press the POWER key again to test the updated results.
(5) The starting screen will display the version of software version (GGH16xxxx). Please
verify GGH16xxxx.S.
