TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
• Difficulty in slicing;
excessive resistance
when the product is in
contact with the blade.
• Slices are of irregular
thickness.
• Slices come out as
“doorsteps”.
• Slices are empty in the

not sliced cleanly.
PROBABLE CAUSE
• The blade is blunt.
• Product is overly mature
or too dry.
