5 Checking the technical installation

5.1

Initial use of the fire

When using the fire for the first time, always use the remote control.

The unit must not be linked to the Wi-Fi and App.

Upon leaving the factory, the remote control is already linked to the

fireplace.

You must manually open and close the door before igniting the fire.

To this end, switch on the service mode switch (fig 1.2B and fig 1.8

I). The LED on the ITC will now start to flash in orange to indicate

that the fire is in service mode!

You can now open the door with the push-button (fig 1.2 H, fig

1.8L). Keep in mind that when the door opens for the first time, it

will open slowly. If you hear any strange noises, immediately stop

using the unit and determine the cause. After the door has fully

opened, press the push-button to close the door again (fig 1.2G, fig

1.8M). Then open the door again and install the decorative material

and the logs.

Now turn off the service mode switch.

See also user’s manual ITC 4Seasons Premium

If required, bleed the gas line!

5.2

Service mode

This function is only used for servicing purposes and in case the

window or door remains stuck in a certain position after a power

outage. You can close the door again when in service mode. The

fireplace will continue to work as usual again after leaving the

service mode.

For the operation of the service mode, see 5.1 initial use.

5.2.1

Placing the decoration material

It is not permitted to use other or to add more material in the

combustion chamber.

Always keep the ignition and ionisation pins clear of all

decorative material!

Do not pour all decorative material on to the burner at once; it can

get clogged because of dust particles.

5.2.1.1   Wood set

•

Place the ionisation cover (fig.4.1A)

•

Place some of the chips on the burner and on the bottom.

•

Places the wood blocks as prescribed. (Fig. 4.1 of included

wood set card)

•

Divide the rest of the chips on the burner and on the bottom.

Prevent a thick layer on the burner; this adversely affects the

fire image.

•

Manually close the window by pressing the push-button

(fig1.2G and fig 1.8M).

•

Now turn on the service mode switch again (fig1.2B and fig

1.8I)

5.2.2

Checking the ignition on the main burner and the

flame spread.

Start the ignition procedure according to the instructions in the

user’s manual.

If the burner fails after the first ignition procedure (15 seconds), you

must reset the electronics.

Reset: via the remote control

function button: 2+5 (fig4.2)

•

Always wait for 5 minutes before restarting the fireplace.

•

After a third reset, an automatic obstruction of 15

minutes is programmed; you can start the unit again

after these 15 minutes.

•

Check whether the ignition on the main burner occurs rapidly

and smoothly

•

The middle part of the main burner will automatically start to

burn on the middle (high flame) setting.

•

Use the remote control to switch the fireplace to the desired

 setting.

•

Evaluate the flame spread by letting the fireplace work on

both wide and high flame settings.

TIP: You can move around some of the decorative material to

obtain the best flame spread.

5.2.3

Checking for gas leaks

Check with a gas leak finder or spray all connections and pipes for

gas leakage.

PLEASE NOTE: Make sure to dry all the components

checked with spray.
