1.4

Operating principle of the device

The 4Seasons Premium is a gas fire belonging to the category B22.

It is a multifunctional fire suitable for use with both an open door or

a closed door.

When the Flue Gas Fan (fig.1.0) starts turning, the supply of

combustion air begins (fig.1.1A). The cold combustion air is

preheated through the convection chamber of the fire and this

preheated air is supported to the room through grilles B (fig. 1.1B).

Before being drawn in as combustion supply air through the pipes

and grilles D.(fig.1.1D) The combustion gasses will be discharged

through the flue gas outlet (fig. 1.1E).

1.4.1

Process description (fig 4.2)

1.4.1.1  Command: Starting the fireplace:

For initial use, always with the remote control. Do not link the

ITC to the App. For further start-up instructions, also refer to

5.1.

(remote control or via the ITC APP)

•

Fan starts turning

internal monitoring of safety systems.

With under pressure, within the correct operating range

the pressure switch will activate the operating system.

•

The pressure sensor measures the rotation speed of the fan

and feeds it back to the operating pressure of the system.

•

The ignition procedure takes 15 seconds and will ignite the

burner on medium high fire setting.

1.  After a positive start, the flame effect can be adjusted

to the desired setting via the remote control or the ITC

App.

2.  In case of a negative start (red flashing of the ITC and

on the remote control), a reset is required.

(combination buttons 2-5) (fig. 4.2)

PLEASE NOTE: After three reset attempts, the system

will be locked for 15 minutes, after which you can try

another start-up.

•

Continuous flame  monitoring with ionisation safety.

1.4.1.2  Burner is on, Command: Opening the door (fig 4.2)

(only available via remote control)

•

The control system sends a command to the flue gas fan,

making it turn faster.

•

The door moves upwards and the flue gas outlet valve opens

 simultaneously.

•

The pressure sensor measures the rotation speed of the fan

and feeds it back to the operating pressure of the system.

•

Continuous flame monitoring with ionisation safety.

PLEASE NOTE: When using the fire with the door open,

the door will close automatically after the following

commands:

1.  Selecting the ECO mode

2.  Selecting the Thermostat mode

3.  Turning the fire off

•

After the fire is switched off, the flue gas fan will continue to

operate for another 10 minutes!

1.4.2

Mechanically ventilated environment

The 4Seasons Premium is provided with an electronic control

system, which can compensate for the under pressure in a

mechanically ventilated house to an under pressure of 15Pa.

2 Safety instructions

•

Do not leave the fireplace unattended with the door open.

•

Do not leave children near the fireplace unattended.

•

The entire installation must be installed and serviced annually

by a qualified engineer in accordance with these installation

instructions and the applicable national and local guidelines.

•

Check whether the data shown on the specification label

matches your local gas type and gas pressure.

•

The settings and the construction of the fire must not be

changed!

•

The mains lead may only be replaced by qualified personnel.

•

Do not place extra imitation wood or other material on the

burner or in the combustion chamber.

•

The unit is designed for atmosphere and heating purposes.

This means that all surfaces, including the glass, can be very

hot (over 100°C); exceptions to this are the bottom of the

fireplace and the control surfaces.

•

Keep flammable materials at least 1 m away from the

radiation zone of the fireplace.

•

When lightning the fire for the first time, run it for after several

hours on the highest setting, so that the paint can cure.

Provide adequate ventilation, so that any fumes can be

discharged.

We recommend that persons are present in the room as little

as possible during this process.

PLEASE NOTE: Through the natural air circulation of the

fire moisture and uncured volatile components from

paint, building materials and carpeted floors, etc. are

attracted. These parts can settle as soot on cold

surfaces. Therefore do not light the fire shortly after

installation.

2.1 Conversion from natural gas to propane (or vice versa)

The conversion to a different gas type may only be performed by a

qualified installer/dealer.

This can only be done by installing a correct burner unit. To do so,

please contact your dealer.

Specify with your order always the type and serial number of the

device.
