Viewing serial port and IP settings
The View Comm Setting menu appears after the Audio Configuration menu as you press
the Menu button to cycle through the menus. All the View Comm Setting screens that you
cycle through by pressing Next show the current settings.
You cannot make changes from
these screens.
To view the current port settings:
1.
Press Menu repeatedly until the View Comm Setting menu is displayed on the LCD
screen.
2.
Press Next repeatedly to cycle through the screens displaying the current settings for
the serial port baud rate, MAC address, DHCP mode, IP address, gateway address, and
subnet mask.
3.
Press Menu to return to the View Comm Setting screen.
Configuring the serial port and IP parameters
To make changes to the serial port configuration, IP address, DHCP mode, gateway address,
or subnet mask, access the edit level screens as follows:
1.
With any View Comm Setting menu screen displayed, press and hold the Next
button and, while holding the Next button, press the Up (
>
) and Down (
<
) buttons
simultaneously until the Edit Comm Setting menu appears (approximately 2 seconds).
2.
Press Next repeatedly to cycle through the Edit Comm Setting screens. When a new
screen is displayed, the currently selected item either blinks or is surrounded by angle
brackets (< >).
3.
To enter or change information on each screen, rotate the horizontal Adjustment knob
(
[
) to move the blinking or the angle brackets to the desired setting. Rotate the
vertical Adjustment knob (
{
) to change the setting.
4.
When finished editing the settings for the selected item, do one of the following:
•
Press Next to go to the next editing screen.
•
Press Menu once to return to the Edit Comm Setting menu.
•
Press Menu twice to exit editing mode and go to the View Comm Setting menu.
The following screens can be edited:
•
Remote Control RS-232:
Select the baud rate. The available rates are
9600
(the
default),
19200
,
38400
, and
115200
.
•
DHCP Mode:
Set DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) to
On
or
Off
. When
DHCP is on, the AVT obtains its IP address from the local network; you do not set the
address.
NOTE:
DHCP must be
off
before you can edit the IP, subnet, and gateway
addresses. If DHCP is on, the three address screens are not displayed.
•
Addresses:
To change these addresses, rotate the horizontal Adjustment knob to select
one of the octets and the vertical Adjustment knob to increment or decrement the
selected number (
0
through
255
).
•
IP Address:
Set the IP address. The default address is
196.168.254.254
.
•
Subnet Mask:
Set the subnet mask address. The default is
255.255.000.000
.
•
Gateway Address:
Set the gateway address. The default is
000.000.000.000
.
NOTE:
These address screens do not appear in the Edit menu if DHCP is on.
