WARNING
y
When the nail gun is connected to the gas can,
a regular minor gas leak may occur, which has a cha-
racteristic odour. For this reason, the nail gun must
be located in a ventilated environment without any
flame or spark sources and must not be stored wit-
hout supervision and at a temperature above 50°C.
Prior to storing the nail gun, take the battery out of
it and when not using the nail gun for an extended
period of time, also take the gas can out of it, and
store the gas can in a safe location.
y
When storing the gas can, it is necessary to follow the
safety instructions provided by the manufacturer and
the manufacturer‘s safety sheet. The gas can must not be
exposed to temperatures exceeding 50°C and below the
temperature specified on the can. The gas can must not be
exposed to the effects of mechanic impacts or other types
of mechanical damage, corrosive substances (caustic and
oxidation substances), furthermore to the effects of water,
etc., which could perforate the case of the can, and as
a result could lead to the can exploding or catching on fire.
y
It is necessary to understand that the gas can
contains a flammable gas that is under pressure,
and therefore during its handling, use, storage
and disposal it is necessary to handle the can
according to reasonable and predictable measu-
res related to safety.
y
Store the nail gun, charger, battery and the gas can in
a safe and dry location out of children‘s reach.
STORING THE BATTERY
y
Protect the battery against rain, frost, high humidity,
temperatures above 50°C, against mechanical damage
(e.g. being dropped) and never open or burn it. Prior to
storing the cordless power tool, take the battery out of
it and fully charge the battery. To ensure the longest
possible lifetime of the battery, fully charge it after
several months (no later than after 6 months).
y
The battery capacity is significantly reduced
in low and high temperatures and it is also
damaged by these temperatures.
y
Protect the battery contacts against soiling, deformation
or other damage and prevent conductive bridging of the
battery contacts by taping over the connectors, e.g. using
plastic tape, to prevent the battery from short-circuiting,
which could result in a subsequent fire or explosion.
y
Ensure that children do not play with the battery.
XII. Waste disposal
y
Throw packaging into the appropriate sorted waste
container.
y
An unusable nail gun and charger are deemed as elect-
rical equipment that must not be thrown out with hou-
sehold waste, but rather according to the European
Directive (EU) 2012/19, they must be handed over for
ecological disposal/recycling at an appropriate electri-
cal waste collection point because they
contain substances that are hazardous to
the environment. Prior to handing over the
nail gun for ecological disposal, take the
gas can and the Li-ion battery out of it.
y
Prior to handing over the nail gun for disposal, the
battery must be removed, which, likewise, must not be
thrown out with household waste (directive 2006/66
ES), but rather must be handed over separately for eco-
logical disposal at a battery collection point because it
contains substances that are hazardous to
the environment. You will receive informa-
tion about electrical equipment collection
points at your local town council office.
DISPOSAL OF THE GAS CAN
y
The gas can is deemed to be hazardous waste, which is not
thrown out with communal waste, is not burned, etc., but
rather is handed over at a collection facility for hazardous
waste. The gas can may contain remains of flammable gas
and may thus be under pressure and may result in a fire or
explosion. Inform yourself about hazardous waste collecti-
on points at your local town council office.
