Selecting the Step Size

Selecting the Step Size

The operating software offers a wide selection of programmed step sizes
that will be used for a manual or programmed scan. The default step sizes
can be edited and new values can be added at any time. For information
on how to customize the contents of the

Step

list box, see

Customizing the

Wavelength List

on page 25.

Note:

When the variable attenuator/reflector is first activated, the minimum step
size is selected.

To select a step size,

1.

In the main window, open the

Step

list box.

2.

Click on the desired value.

Note:

Selecting a larger step size allows for faster attenuation/reflection scanning.
