Cutting result adjustment on Exact PipeCut 220 Pro Series

Adjusting the gripper device

In case of misalignment of the cutting result, the first
thing to check is the gripper device alignment.
Alignment can be checked with the laser:
1)  Attach the unit to the pipe with the tension used for
cutting.
2) With the motor unit in up position, mark the position
of the laser line on the pipe (FIGURE L).
3) Push the machine a couple of times around the pipe
with the motor unit in up position.
4) Check the position of laser line and the marking. If
these do not line up, refer to instructions below to
adjust the gripper device alignment.

Within the gripping device there are eight control
wheels. One of them is the adjustment wheel (FIGURE
A / 9). Please note that the adjustment of this wheel
may need to be made for each pipe size and material
separately.

Adjust the wheel by releasing the locking screw
(FIGURE M / 1) and turning the central part of the
wheel CLOCKWISE or ANTICLOCKWISE to obtain the
desired position (FIGURE M / 2), lock the wheel again
(FIGURE M/3).

If the laser line is to the left of the marking
(FIGURE K/a), turn the central part of the adjustment
wheel so that "d" is smaller (FIGURE M/a).
If the laser line is to the right of the marking
(FIGURE K/b), turn the central part of the adjustment
wheel so that "d" is larger (FIGURE M/b).
It is recommended to lubricate the adjusting wheel
periodically.

Adjusting the alignment of the blade

If the cutting is not square and the gripper is aligned,
blade alignment can also be adjusted.

CAUTION!

 Blade alignment adjustment is very

effective and can lead to blade and/or saw damage if
adjusted too much.

Before making the adjustment, note the bodyplate
alignment (FIGURE N / 1), in case it is needed to return
back to the original setting.
Loosen the two screws securing the bodyplate
FIGURE N / 2. Turn the bodyplate to the required
direction and secure the two screws. Make only small
adjustments at a time.

If the cutting line goes from right to left (FIGURE K/a),
turn the bodyplate clockwise (FIGURE O / 1).
If the cutting line goes from left to right (FIGURE K/b),
turn the bodyplate counterclockwise (FIGURE O / 2).

CAUTION

The adjustment indicator located in the back

of the adjustment plate does give the exact
measurement to adjust. The indicator shows only the
direction of adjustment and the category of magnitude.
