Brake
system
Information
and
Safety.
The e-Scooter has front and rear disc brakes which is the very best available for e-Scooters.
The brakes are Hydraulic disk brakes. When applying the brake lever a hydraulic force is
exerted on the brake cylinder which push against the brake pads. The brake pads have wear
resistant surfaces and will push against the brake disk when you activate the brake. The
friction force between the disk and the brake pad cause the wheel rotation to be slowed until
it stops.
The braking system is therefore relying on regular maintenance and care on four levels, (a)
enough brake fluid for the hydraulic system to operate, (b) Adequate wearing surfaces on
the brake fiction pads, (c) brake disk in good condition (approved service center’s must
check the disks for excessive wear), (d) serviceability of the power mode lever.

reservoirs.
Regularly perform a visual inspection on the brake fluid levels
in the two reservoirs fitted
adjacent to the front and rear brake levers. If the system does not have enough hydraulic
fluid in the system the brake system will fail to operate properly.
The Fluid level should be above the mark indicated in figure 17b.To fill the fluid up – remove
the two screws shown in Figure 17 a, remove the lid and top up the fluid. Use only DOT 3 or
Dot 4 certified brake fluid.
