6. Switching on and off
Caution!
Only authorised persons may operate this industrial vacuum cleaner. The user must
check compliance with all protective measures and safety precautions.
Move the vacuum cleaner near to the area to be cleaned and apply the parking brake.
All models feature a combined ON/OFF switch. Press this switch once and the cleaner will
start.
Now the cleaner is ready for operation and swarfs as well as liquids can be vacuumed.
The vacuumed swarfs are collected – depending on the construction type of the vacuum
cleaner – in the swarf basket or on the installed swarf separation bottom, which is inside the
dirt box. The liquids/emulsions trickle into the lower container.
For version with electronical liquid level control (sensor):
As soon as the maximum level is reached the probe of the liquid level control reacts, the
indicator light illuminates and the cleaner disrupts the suction process automatically.
Dirt box and swarf basket have to be emptied now.
If the indicator light remains on even once the dirt box and the swarf basket have been
emptied, this can mean that the probe used for checking the liquid level has become
contaminated. The probe is located in the dirt container and must be cleaned as
appropriate.
For version with filling-level hose:
If the liquid reaches the maximum level (see arrow „maximum“) the cleaner has to be shut
down and the dirt box must be emptied.
Attention!
The viscous slime which originates on cooling lubricants owing to microbial
contamination should be disposed of separately from the container; since through
the viscosity of that slime the swarf basket’s vents may be sealed and the passing
resp. draining of other liquids will be hampered.
Duty time:
Single phase machines:
Suitable for periodic use.
Prolonged duty lasting more than 90 minutes must be followed by a cooling-down period of
at least 30 minutes.
