System expansion with RS-485 signal distributor 

 

ATTENTION:

  Most signal distributors are unidirectional! This means that the signal only flows from the 

input towards the outputs. Therefore, e.g. the interconnection of several keyboards is not possible with 
these types of signal distributor!

RS-485 socket pin assignment 

The two RS-485 input RJ-45 sockets are looped through and pin-compatible. The following RJ-45 pin 
assignment has to be considered for connection:

EKB-500 connection with network patch cable 

For a simple, short distance installation, recorder and keyboard can directly be connected using a standard 
CAT5 network cable (patch cable, uncrossed!).
