Line-Crossing Detection
When objects (people, vehicle or other objects) cross a pre-defined line, the Line-Crossing Detection event will
be triggered. You can configure some event actions like event recording, alarm output or Email alert when an
event is triggered.

Switch:
Switch the button to the right to enable the function.
Timeout Duration:
After enabling the Alarm Out, select a timeout duration for the alarm output.
Post Recording:
Select a post recording time when a Line-Crossing event is triggered.
Sensitivity:
Select a sensitivity for the Line-Crossing Detection. The larger the value, the higher the sensitivity.
Scene:
Select
Indoor
or
Outdoor
based on the location where your IP camera is installed.
Alarm Out:
Switch the button to the right to enable the alarm output, and then further configure the
Timeout
Duration
above.
Send Email:
Switch the button to the right to enable the Email alert function. When a Line-Crossing event is
triggered, the camera will send an email alert with a snapshot image to the pre-configured Email receiver. Note
that for this function to work, you have to set up the Email function in advance (refer to

.

).
Rule Number:
Select a number to configure the areas. Up to 4 areas can be configured.
Rule Switch:
Switch the button to the right to enable the Rule Type setup below.
Rule Type:
Select a rule type.
Enable Recording:
Switch the button to the right to enable the Line-Crossing Detection recording function. Note
that for Line-Crossing Detection recording function to work, the Record Schedule function has to be configured
(please refer to
5.8.1 Record Schedule
).

Refresh
to refresh the page; click
Apply
to save the settings.
