DESIGNED TO PERFECTION
CLEANING
NOTE: Cleaning and maintenance operations must only be carried out when the oven is cool.
The appliance should be disconnected from the power outlet or turned off at your isolation switch
before commencing any cleaning process.
Cleaning the oven when new:
Before operating the oven for the first time, check for any internal packaging & remove. Remove any
remaining plastic tape (especially on chromed wire grills) with detergent or cooking oil (it is extremely hard to
clean once it has been baked on).
Cleaning the oven exterior:
Before starting to clean your oven, be sure that all control buttons are off and your appliance has cooled off.
Unplug the appliance.
Do not use cleaning materials containing particles that might scratch the enamelled and painted parts of
your oven. Use cream cleaners or liquid cleaners, which do not contain particles. As these cleaners may
damage the surfaces, do not use caustic creams, abrasive cleaning powders, rough wire wool or hard tools.
In the event of any excess liquids spilling over your oven surface during cleaning, clean up immediately so as
to prevent possible damage to the enamel or metal surface. Do not use steam cleaners for cleaning the
oven.
Removing and cleaning the oven door:
Before starting to clean your oven, be sure that all control buttons are off and your appliance has cooled off.
Unplug the appliance.
Fully open the oven door. Each of the door hinges has a locking lever at the top. While supporting the door,
open the 2 levers (unlocked). Half close the door (which semi-closes the levers) and then evenly lift the door
slightly (this frees the hinges from the bottom edge of the oven). Rotate the door as if to close it and the hinge
will rotate out of the oven, and the door can be placed on a stable surface to clean. Replacement is the
opposite of its removal (take care to keep the 2 hinges level).
Cleaning the interior of the oven:
Make sure to unplug the oven before starting to clean it. You will obtain best results if you clean the oven
interior while the oven is slightly warm (the oven should not be operating). Wipe your oven with a soft piece
of cloth (e.g. dish cloth) dampened with warm soapy water after each use, rinse cloth in warm water then
wipe oven again and then finish by wiping with a dry cloth. For a complete cleaning process, use dry and
powder type oven cleaners, following the oven cleaning product’s instructions.
The insulation plate and rear fan cover can be removed for easier cleaning. The insulation plate can be
removed by sliding the plate forward out of the oven, and is replaced by sliding back to its original position.
The fan cover is removed by removing the 2 nuts (at opposing corners) and lifting it out of the oven (replace
before operating the oven again).
