Belt path:
If LATCH is not in use, secure hooks to
locations provided on bottom of seat (diagram
6).
Do
not install using inflatable safety belt.
Do not install
restraint in a seating position with an active frontal air
bag.
Rear

facing:
Vehicle belt is routed under child
’
s
legs through slots on each side of shell. No portion of
base of child restraint may extend beyond vehicle seat
in rear
-
facing mode.
Forward
-
facing:
Vehicle belt is routed through
slots behind seat.
LATCH:
Discontinue use of lower anchors at 50 lbs.
Verify vehicle lower anchor weight limits for child over
40 lbs. A single LATCH strap is attached to restraint.
Route LATCH strap through appropriate belt path for
rear
-
facing or forward
-
facing use. Lower anchors may be
used in center seating position when distance between bars is
11 inches or more, and vehicle manufacturer specifically permits
their use (refer to Safe Ride News LATCH manual).
Tether:
Yes, for forward
-
facing use only. If not in use, attach
tether to location provided on rear of seat (diagram 7), roll up
excess strap and secure with band.
Other:
Any Evenflo child restraint may be used adjacent to a
side airbag provided that the vehicle manufacturer designates
that location as an appropriate child restraint seating position.
Head pillow and body pillow (diagram 8) are optional and may only
be used in rear
-
facing mode. If using head pillow, attach through harness
slots just above slots being used for harness straps.
