The BIAS program can also provide a cyclic PLC function in Operating Mode 5 for supervisory
monitoring tasks. This removes the requirement for an external PLC. This is started in parallel to
the sequential processing of a BIAS program using the BIAS Execution Pointer command.

After the PLC program is activated, the programmed PLC commands are processed as per the
specified block number.

The BIAS command “end of program” within a PLC program causes a jump back to the start of
the PLC program.

The reaction of the PLC program to the deactivation of the output stage can be adjusted in the
BIAS menu “Edit BIAS Program Definition” (parameter “Program Reaction PLC Program”).
Here it is possible to allow the PLC program to continue to process during the deactivation of the
regulator.
