590 DRV Digital DC Drive Product Manual

C

SPEED LOOP::SETPOINTS

SETPOINTS combine four setpoints into a total speed setpoint.

Inputs and Outputs

The default inputs to SETPOINTS are analog input 2, terminal A3, ratioed 5703
output, SPT. SUM O/P, RAMP OUTPUT, and I DMD ISOLATE. The output is
SPEED SETPOINT.

Description

Speed setpoint 2 is connected directly to terminal A3. It is scanned synchronously
with the current loop. RATIO 2 (A3) and SIGN 2 (A3) scale the input to become
SETPOINT 2 (A3). SETPOINT 2 is summed with setpoints 1, 3, and 4. The result is
clamped by MAX DEMAND and MIN DEMAND to create SPEED SETPOINT.

When I DMD ISOLATE is ON, the signal from terminal A3 is routed to the current
loop and disconnected from SETPOINTS.
