WARNING
The DFI needs to be earthed and the power supply should have
a residual current disconnection (RCD). An incorrect earth
connection can lead to electrical shocks.
WARNING
Do not alter internal wiring.
CAUTION
Do not install the DFI at a location with potential explosion
hazard.
WARNING
The DFI is for indoor use only.
5
INSTALLATION OF THE DFI
Read this information carefully and proceed step by step!
The pictures/drawing in this manual are for reference only.
5.1 Device
•
Select a position that is free from obstruction for the air flow
•
Take care of the weight of the DFI and select a location where noise
and vibrations do not cause nuisance
REMARK
Depending of the settings of the DFI noise and vibrations
will increase.
5.2 General
•
Make sure that the supporting construction and anchorage are
sufficient for the selected location
•
Check local regulations with regard to installation
•
Always select an easy accessible mounting location for
easy maintenance.
ATTENTION
The DFI will require extra parts for installation.
Mount a construction rail at the appropriate location.
Use sliding nuts with eye bolts to position the DFI exact level.
When the DFI has to be lowered significantly with regard to the mounting
rail, place the mounting eyes further apart to create a bigger square. In this
way the DFI will hang more stable.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
Safety precautions with regard to the electrical installation:
•
Do not install the DFI in an unsafe situation (regarding the electrical/
mechanical part)
•
The supply voltage has to be within range of 200 – 270 Volts AC, single
phase.
•
Connect the remote control cables according to the wiring diagram in
this manual.
•
All wiring has to comply with local/national legislation and European
wiring norm and may only be performed by authorized staff.
REMARK
The supply voltage has to correspond to the nominal voltage
mentioned on the type label of the DFI.
REMARK
The power supply has to be able to deliver a minimum wattage
as mentioned at the typelabel of the DFI.
6.1 Power Supply
The power connection to the DFI is made with a 3 pole female CEE
connector. The cable need to be of type H07RN-F. The size need to minimum
1,5 sqmm. For short connections and 2,5 sqmm. for longer connections.
6.2 Control cable
The DFI can be controlled with the optional Touch Control DFI (partnr.
1180442300) or Remote Control (partnr. 0010010310). All units, including
control are connected in a “RS485 bus configuration”.
Start point for the bus is the touch control/remote control and the end point
is the (termination) resistor in the “last” DFI.
REMARK
All DFI's are equipped with the bus (termination) resistor. This
resistor need to be removed if the DFI is used in multiple unit
setup except for the resistor in the last DFI.
