Warning – risk of fire and injuries
CAUTION!
Granule handling
The granule is a harmful combustion product
which might spontaneously combust when exposed to
air or moisture
and thereby cause fires and explosions. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks,
open fires and other ignition sources. Do not smoke. Keep away from moisture. Avoid dust formation.
Always wear protective clothing, gloves and glasses. Always ensure sufficient ventilation.
In the case of fire, the material reaches very high temperatures and therefore requires specific
extinguishing measures. Metal fire powder (fire class D) and dry sand are suitable extinguishing
agents. Water, foam and carbon dioxide should NOT be used as extinguishing agents. Danger of
explosion!
•
Always conduct a hazard analysis to adjust safety measures to the location and application. Have fire-
extinguishing appliances ready at all times.
•
Smoke, unpleasant odours as well as residues on the floor occur during operation of the device. Always ensure
sufficient ventilation, especially in enclosed spaces. Always use recommended protective gear.
•
Do not inhale dust or smoke and avoid contact with the skin, eyes or clothes. Do not eat, drink or smoke while
operating the machine. Change contaminated clothes and wash them thoroughly. Wash hands after use.
•
Clean the machine after each use or at least once a day. Caution! The material chemically reacts with water.
Keep away from water! Use recommended protective gear during cleaning.
•
Avoid dust formation. Any dust deposits are to be removed with a non-sparking tool on a regular basis and
collected in a sealable container. Do not raise dust more than necessary during cleaning. Blow off dust only with
an explosion-proof industrial vaccum cleaner with dust class H.
•
Always use up the entire content of a granule package if possible. Leftovers are to be stored separately from
other materials and in a sealable container. The containers are to be marked explicitly and permanently and
stored air-tight in a dry, well-ventilated room until reuse. The storage temperature must not exceed 20°C/68°F.
Keep away from moisture. Do not store with materials that might initiate harmful chemical reactions with the
granule.
•
Granule leftovers are to be disposed of in compliance with local regulations.
•
Packagings are to be emptied thoroughly and can be reused. If not reused, the packaging is to be disposed of
in compliance with local regulations.
•
Never aim the output nozzle directly at people or open flames. Keep an appropriate safety distance to the
audience and to heat sensitive and highly flammable materials (e.g. wood or plastic surfaces, drapes).
•
Always place the device at a location where sufficient air circulation is ensured. Never cover the air vents of the
housing.
•
Keep device upright (max. inclination angle 45°). Do not place it on its side. The integrated “Tip Over” function
automatically stops spark output whenever the maximum inclination angle of 45° is exceeded.
•
Only use granules recommended by the manufacturer. Other granules may cause damage. Never add
substances of any kind (such as oils, perfumes or salts) to granules. Failure to do so will render the warranty
void.
•
Always disconnect from the mains, when the device is not in use or before cleaning it. Only handle the power
cord by the plug. Never pull out the plug by tugging the power cord.
•
For commercial use the country-specific accident prevention regulations of the government safety organization
for electrical facilities as well as the regulations for hazardous substances must be complied with at all times.
Caution – material damage
•
The admissible ambient temperature range is -5 to +45°C. Do not operate the device outside of this temperature
range.
•
Never switch the device on and off at short intervals. This will considerably reduce the service life of the device.
•
If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuation, do not switch it on immediately. The resulting
condensation may destroy the device. Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting it. Wait
until the condensation has evaporated.
•
Clean the interior device from granulate remnants at regular intervals otherwise the warranty will be rendered
void.
•
Please use the original packaging to protect the device against vibration, dust and moisture during
transportation or storage.
•
If a serial number label is affixed to the device, do not remove the label as this would make the warranty void.
