Configuration options

of the ServiceRouterV3

9.2. Add new account

Pressing this button opens a new table below the overview chart where you enter the account information.

Choose an account name and password. Choose 'admin' or 'user'. Only a member of the admin group has admi-
nistrator rights, this is not the case for members of the user groups.

A 'normal' user can only access the user area assigned to him.

A password is required for each user. This password has to be entered when the user logs into the web interface.

The password must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number and one special character
(#$^+*=!()%) and must be between 8 and 30 characters long.

9.3. New user certificate

This triggers the generation of a new client certificate for the relevant user account. Successful generation and
validity of the certificate is displayed in a pop-up window as well as in the updated field 'Certificate' in the relevant
line of the overview chart.

If a certificate has already been created, a security warning has to be acknowledged. In this case, the existing
certificate is revoked.

Achtung

A revoked certificate can no longer be used by a client for access to the server. Make sure not to block
the only way of access to a client router in this way, for example to an LTE router.

9.4. Download

Press download, in order to download an archive file with all certificates, keys and an OpenVPN configuration
file for the relevant user. A pop-up window opens. Select download of the access file as standard tar file for PC/
Router or as OVPN file for mobile devices such as tablets or smart phones.

The eurogard-Connect-Software as well as the eurogard-ServiceRouter require the tar format for setting up the
VPN.

Depending on the validity range, this file is essential for access to the VPN server.

Achtung

If this file or a storage medium containing this file is lost you should generate a new client certificate as
quickly as possible. The old certificate is automatically revoked in this case. If a VPN client with this
certificate is connected, his connection to the server will be immediately terminated.

If no certificates exist, the download button is deactivated and greyed out.
