Empty the dust cup. Hint: If picking up fine dust, the dust

floor.

cup and filter(s). Make sure the dust cup is installed
properly. Make sure dust cup platform  is engaged
properly.

Belt

Replace a cut, broken or out of shape belt.

Brush Roll

Clean hair and thread from bristles and end cap area.
Replace brush roll if bristles are worn.

Hose

Remove any clogs from the hose that restrict the airflow.

Brush Roll Control

For carpet cleaning make sure brush roll control lever is
 in carpet position.

Cleaner Height Setting

For hard floor cleaning, make sure hardfloor/carpet lever
 is in hard floor position.

No suction at the end of the

Dust Cup and Filter(s)

Empty the dust cup.  Hint: If picking up fine dust, the

hose.

Check the filters and clean or replace if necessary.

Hose

Remove any clogs from the hose that restrict the airflow.

Check both ends of the hose. (See pages 14-15)

airflow.

Motor Filter Tube

Dust cup and motor filter tube must be properly lined up
with seals at the top of the dust cup compartment.

Headlight not working.

Light Bulb

Replace light bulb.

Noise from the brush roll area.

Brush Roll

Remove base plate and clean debris from the brush roll
 area.

Belt

Replace a cut, broken or out of shape belt.

Cleaner is hard to push.

Cleaner Height Setting

Turn height adjustment knob to a higher position. Hint:
Put handle in operating position.  Tilt the cleaner back to
raise the front wheels off floor. Then turn the knob.

Replace a cut, broken or out of shape belt.

Brush Roll On/Off

Flip brush roll control lever to carpet position.

Brush roll will not turn.

Replace a cut, broken or out of shape belt.

Brush Roll On/Off

Flip brush roll control lever to carpet position.
NOTE: Brush roll is not designed to turn while the
handle is in the upright position.

Dirt Alert yellow light will not

New carpet fibers.

Over time loose new carpet fibers will diminish and will

go off.

Sensors are not working.

Cleaner height knob will not
