9. BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING - BREAkDOWNS AND REMEDIES
Most operating anomalies are due to incorrect use of the mulching mower or a lack of the normal maintenance that we recommend.
Below we suggest some simple ways to identify basic faults and remedy them. If the breakdown persists nevertheless, we recommend that you
contact one of our ETESIA dealers (list on request from ETESIA - 67165 WISSEMBOURG).
If these checks are not enough to deal with the breakdown, contact an approved ETESIA dealer.
Important : when replacing parts, use only ETESIA original parts. The quality of the work carried out, the service life of the
mulching mower and your safety depend on it.
The use of "non original" parts, as well as putting the user at risk, would lead to the cancellation of the warranty for any resulting
damage. ETESIA can accept no liability in the event of any accident due to the use of a "non original" spare part.

The spark plug is loose Tighten appropriately
The cylinder head screws are loose
No fuel in the combustion chamber No fuel in the carburettor chamber Fill up the fuel tank
The fuel cock is closed Open the fuel cock
Petrol inlet defective Clean
Spark plug fouled by the fuel Fuel/air mix too rich Put the gas lever on the "MAXI" position
and turn the engine over with the spark
plug out to eliminate the excess fuel
Air filter clogged up Clean
Carburettor defective Contact an approved ETESIA dealer
Wrong type of fuel Replace the petrol
Water in the carburettor
Fuel spoiled
Weak or no spark Defective spark plug Replace the spark plug
Ignition coil defective Contact an approved ETESIA dealer
The engine lacks power Air filter clogged up. Clean
Engine overheats Cooling grille clogged up
Insufficient engine oil Top up or change the oil

Forward drive too rapid Select a lower speed
Engine speed too low Place the gas lever on the "MAXI" position
Grass deposits visible on the lawn Cutting height too low Raise the cutting height
Grass deposits visible behind Cutter housing clogged up by grass Clean the housing
