General information
The INCA application software supports up to four ES584.1 modules at the same
time.
Power manager
Almost all laptops and many desktop computers have a power management
function (power manager). Power managers deactivate the CPU for a certain
time. However, this compromises the accuracy of time management in your
application.
If you have strict time management requirements for your application (time-
controlled transfer of messages, time-controlled evaluations), you must deacti-
vate this power manager.
The power management settings are adjusted:
• In the BIOS setup
• In the Windows Control Panel (e.g. object energy options).
This document does not provide detailed descriptions of how the power man-
ager can be deactivated.
ES720.1 and ES820.1 drive recorders
The ES584.1 module can be operated on the USB port of ES720.1 and ES820.1
drive recorders.
