If there is resistance in the movement of the air
valves, lubricate only with dry lubricant (e.g.
PTFE spray).
Perform function test for closing the prima-
ry air supply
The subsequent function test includes examining
whether the primary air supply of the boiler closes
during a power failure.
Perform function test
1. Switch on the boiler with the mains switch.
The capacitors need approximately
4 minutes of power supply before they are
fully charged. Only after this can a function test be
carried out.
2. Unlock the actuator for the primary air and turn it to
the completely open position.

3. If the primary air valve is fully open, turn off the
power supply to the boiler at the mains switch.

4. Next check whether the actuator rotates back to
the closed position.

The function test is successful when the actuator
rotates back into the closed position. If the actuator
does not move, please contact ETA customer service.
