Operating the HFD
Operate the HFD by pressing the panic button. The HFD automatically sends notifications to the
control panel for certain events.
3.1.
Notifications
The HFD sends notifications to the control panel for the following events:
The resident presses the HFD button.
The HFD detects that the resident has fallen.
In addition, depending on how the control panel is configured, the HFD periodically sends information
to the control panel, including:
The temperature
The HFD battery charge percentage
3.2.
LED Indications
The HFD LED lights up as shown in the following table:

3.3.
Supervision
The HFD is a supervised device. The HFD periodically transmits its status to the control panel. The
frequency of the reporting periods can be configured remotely. If after a pre-defined time the control
panel does not receive a status message, the control panel sends a
Supervision lost
message to the
monitoring station.
