After connecting the cable, press “GENERATE” to proceed with the
programming process. Progress will be displayed on the right of the screen.
Once the remote control has been generated, an icon will be displayed to
indicate successful completion of the procedure. If the key can be programmed
inside the vehicle using a sequence of steps and without needing to use a key
programming device, the steps to be followed inside the vehicle will be displayed
under “On Board Programming”.
If an error has occurred during the generation process, an error message like the
one shown in the example below will be displayed.
1.2.2 GENERATING A KRC200 OR KRC300
As explained above, generating the KRC200 and KRC300 remote controls is performed
wirelessly without the need for any programming cable. Otherwise, the procedure is
exactly the same as for the KRC100 remote controls.
First select the make of car for which you want to generate a remote control. The typical
car models that can use a KRC200 remote control include Citroen, Peugeot and some
Nissans.
Select a specific model from the list and, just like for the KRC100, the
details of the original remote control will be displayed on the screen.
This will indicate that a KRC200 remote control should be used.
