4.2.5 Printhead Removal

1. Remove the Upper Housing. (Refer to Section 4.2.1.1.)

2. Pull the ink cartridge holder forward to open it, and then remove the ink cartridges.

3. Move the Carriage Unit manually to the middle position.

(Refer to Steps 2 in Section 4.2.1.3.)

4. Disengage the four hooks, and then remove the cable head holder while holding

the carriage guide frame out of the way.

5. Remove Torsion Spring.

6. Remove a screw 7) C.B.P 3x6 that is securing the Head Fastener.

7. Use tweezers or similar to disengage the hooks of the two overlapping plates that

apply tension to the ink cartridges from the notches at the left and right of the
carriage unit, and then remove the plates one by one.
