The menu displays all the major selection items. Select the item you need to
configure. The selection is made by moving the cursor (press any direction key )
to the item and pressing the Enter key. An on-line help message is displayed at the
right corner of the screen as the cursor is moved to various items which provides
a better understanding of each function. When a selection is made, the menu of
the selected item will appear so that the user can modify associated configuration
parameters.
Channel Status
From the BIOS setting utility the user will be presented with many options. Under
the menu will be displayed the Channel Status window. This displays all the
currently attached drives on IDE3 and IDE4 of the motherboard. Drives attached
to motherboard connectors IDE1 and IDE2 are controlled by the UltraDMA-66
controller and thus are not supported for RAID functionality. The port, drive
name, mode, size, and its status will be displayed for reference.
Array Status
By pressing the <F1> function key the Channel Status window will be replaced
with the Array Status. This windows shows all currently created RAID arrays in
the system. Their names, block size and size will be displayed.
