From the Legend's LED menu:

OPTIONS | NETWORKING

and set the

display to the following:

IP Address

(The IP Address can be almost any number)

Subnet Mask

Gateway Address

Press

ENTER

on the keypad

Press

OPTIONS | SAVE SETTINGS

and press

ENTER

on the keypad

Reboot the Legend:

SERVICE | REBOOT

Settings on the computer running XP/2000: If at any point in the following
process, if the computer suggests rebooting, do it and then continue.

From the Start menu at the
bottom of your screen select
