5.4.16 CURRENT OFFSET
-
[
.!:!
]
The new Extended Functions parameter [
.!:!
], Current Offset, provides adjustment
CURRENT in either [kA] or [%] in OPERATE mode without going into PROGRAM mode.
With this parameter an adjustment limit window is set within which the weld current can be
changed. Only weld current can be changed this way and all other schedule parameters
remain unchanged. There are two Current Offset Modes, Current Offset for a single
schedule, and Current Offset for all schedules.
Current Offset for Individual or Single Schedules
Changing the current for a schedule only affects the schedule displayed in the schedule
window. This is useful when a change is needed because of an individual part change.
Current Offset for All Schedules
Changing the current for any individual schedule, within the current offset window, will
affect all schedules programmed in the Control. Offsetting of all schedules may be useful
when a machine function, i.e. a shunt increases in resistance affecting all weld schedules.
Current Offset Programming
To program the Current Offset Limits:
1. Put the control in PROGRAM Mode.
2. Click SELECT until the DATA display shows [
01
].
3. Click the left SCHEDULE push-button until the SCHEDULE display shows [
.!:!
].
4. Use the DATA push buttons to program the desired values, where:
[
.!:!
]=00
- Current Offset is disabled,
[
.!:!
]=01 to 19 - Current Offset is enabled, ONLY for Single Schedule.
[
.!:!
]=20
- Current Offset is disabled,
[
.!:!
]=21 to 39 - Current Offset is enabled , for ALL Schedules.
5. Press ENTER.
For a Single Schedule the Current Offset [
.!:!
] may be any value from 00 to 19, and is in
units of percent, [%]. This value will set max and min. offset limits for Programmed Current.
Current can be changed within these limits without going into PROGRAM mode. When
current offset for all schedules is used [
.!:!
] can have a value from 20 to 39. So if:
[
.!:!
] = 20 - Current Offset is disabled.
= 21 - Current Offset for all schedules ±1%
= 22 - Current Offset for all schedules ±2%
“
”
= 38 - Current Offset for all schedules ±18%
= 39 - Current Offset for all schedules ±19%
On Control Boards with 4 digit Data display, the first digit will be
S.
if 0<[
.!:!
]<20 or
A.
if
20<[
.!:!
]<40.
