Usage
Use
this
command
to
manually
configure
an
IPv6
address
prefix
to
be
delegated
to
a
specific
client,
identified
by
their
DHCP
unique
identifier.
Refer
to
RFC
3633,
“IPv6
Prefix
Options
for
Dynamic
Host
Configuration
Protocol
(DHCP)
version
6,”
for
more
information
about
prefix
delegation.
Use
the
no
form
of
this
command
to
remove
a
configured
prefix.
Example
This
example
configures
a
prefix
to
be
delegated
to
the
prefix
delegation
client
identified
by
the
DUID
00:02:00:00:00:11:0A:C0:89:D3:03:00:09:AA.
The
default
lifetime
values
are
used.
C3(su)->router(Config)# ipv6 dhcp pool PoolA
C3(su)->router(Config-dhcp6s-pool)# prefix-delegation 2001:0db8:10::/48

pool
configuration
mode
and
returns
to
global
configuration
mode.

prefix

This
prefix
must
be
in
the
form
documented
in
RFC
4291,
with
the
address
specified
in
hexadecimal
using
16
‐
bit
values
between
colons.
The
value
of
prefix
‐
length
is
a
decimal
number
indicating
the
number
of
high
‐
order
contiguous
bits
of
the
address
that
comprise
the
prefix.
DUID
The
DHCP
Unique
Identifier
(DUID)
of
the
prefix
delegation
client,
as
described
in
RFC
3315.
name
hostname
(Optional)
The
name
of
the
prefix
delegation
client,
consisting
of
up
to
31
alpha
‐
numeric
characters.
This
name
is
used
for
logging
and/or
tracing
only.
valid
‐
lifetime
secs
|
infinite
(Optional)
The
valid
lifetime
of
the
prefix,
specified
as
seconds
or
as
infinite
.
The
value
of
secs
can
range
from
0
to
4294967295.
