FUNCTIONAL_MODE

The FUNCTIONAL_MODE register can be used to switch between standard operation mode
and Standby (Sleep) mode as described in chapter 2.2.

Figure 49 below shows the structure of the FUNCTIONAL_MODE register.

MODE bit field encoding

Out of the box, STM 550B is delivered in standby (sleep) mode to disable radio
transmission during transport in line with air transport regulation. STM 550B will
start operation upon pressing the LRN button or changing the mode using the MODE
field.
After STM 550B started operation the first time, subsequent factory resets will result
in STM 550B being in standard operation mode.
