Range seeking
For the upper switch point use:
•
Adjuster 1 and hook switch 1
for the lower limit:
•
Adjuster 2 and hook switch 3.
Step Procedure
1
Turn Adjuster anticlockwise to the stop: zero setting.

Select Range I at hook switch (Table 3.1).

Turn Adjuster clockwise through the full range and back:
- If the red LED lights and extinguishes, the correct range
is selected, now calibrate at minimum or maximum
fail-safe mode.
- If not proceed with Step 4

Select Range II at hook switch.

Turn Adjuster clockwise through the full range and back:
- If the red LED lights and extinguishes, the correct range
is selected, now calibrate at minimum or maximum
fail-safe mode.
- If not proceed with Step 6

Select Range III at hook switch, now calibrate at
mimimum or maximum failsafe mode.
Calibration for minimum fail-
safe mode
If mimimum fail-safe mode has been selected, i.e. there is no
bridge between terminals 12 and 13 of the Nivotester, proceed as
follows.
Step Procedure
1
Turn the adjuster back to zero.
2
Slowly turn the adjuster clockwise until the red LED lights.
3
When the exact switch position has been found, turn the
adjuster no further.
Calibration for maximum
fail-safe mode
If the maximum fail-safe mode has been selected, i.e. there is a
bridge between terminals 12 and 13 of the Nivotester, proceed as
follows.
Step Procedure
1
Turn the adjuster back to zero.

Slowly turn the adjuster clockwise until the red LED goes
out
3
When the exact switch position has been found, turn the
adjuster no further.
Check calibration
When adjusted, check that the unit is functioning correctly by filling
and emptying the vessel.
