3. Calibration
The calibration controls are located behind the front panel and can
be accessed as follows:
•
Insert a screwdriver blade into the front panel release points, see
Fig. 3, and prise forward.
•
Pull the panel gently forward.
•
On completion of the calibration, press the panel into position
again.
Fig 8 shows the calibration controls for the Nivotester FTC 422:

•
Hook switch 1 matches the Nivotester to the capacitance of the
vessel for the upper switch point, see Table 2.
•
Hook switch 3, controls a switching differential circuit, giving a
lower switch point. The ranges are identical to switch 1, see
Table 3.
•
Hook switch 2 selects the adjustment mode: Table 3 summarizes
the settings.
•
Adjuster 1 sets the switch point for the maximum or minimum
level.
•
Adjuster 2 sets the switching differential for the second switching
level.
•
The green LED indicates that the unit is operational.
•
The red LED indicates that the relay is energised (off) or
de-energised (lit).
