AO Analog values (Modbus
Device)
The parameters transferred via Modbus to the device can be used and configured accordingly to the given example
of configuring the Limit switch 1 to the Analog Ouput 1 value (AO 1) of the control system. This means the Limit
switch 1 monitors the AO 1 value from Modbus and switches accordingly the configured limit value.

DO Digital values (Modbus
Device)
Digital values transferred via Modbus to the device can be used as trigger for an action in the device.
For example a sampling cycle can be triggered with a DO device variable. The configuration is similar to the use of
the AO (Analog Output variables).
