15. The acoustic power level of these machines could be a risk for health. According to the standard
ISO3744, accoustic pressure level (LpA) in the workplace is 95dB and accosutic power (LwA) is
101dB (K=1,5dB). The test is made on the motor working at the maximum speed and with the
poker ABP38. Proper protective equipment must be used.
16. The hand-arm vibration level of these machines could be a risk for health. Hand-arm vibration
figures are below 2,5 m/s2. The test is made on the motor working at the maximum speed, with
the poker ABP38 hanging on air (according to ISO5349) and held on the handle by the user
(K=1m/s

).
17. The parts used for isolating from vibration must be maintained in perfect shape. In case of
damage, they must be replaced immediately.

5 OPERATION
5.1 GETTING STARTED
1. Before starting work, the correct operation of all handling and safety devices must be
checked.
2. Read the user’s manual.
3. Release the trigger on the motor switch if the trigger has been set.
4. Check all the bolts and connections are well tighten.
5. Check the battery charge status.
6. Turn on the motor. Sometimes, if the battery is fully charged, it is necessary to operate the
switch 2-3 times in a row. This is due to the battery has an overcharge protection system that
sometimes kicks in when the battery is fully charged.
7. Carry out the work holding the vibrator by the handle of the bar and with the belt placed
across the user's shoulder.
8. After the work is finished, clean with water the remains of fresh concrete adhering to the
vibrator poker.
9. When a defect or a malfunction has been detected, endangering the use of this machine or
not, stop the work and make the correspondent maintenance to avoid any danger or bigger
damage.
5.2 OPERATION CONDITIONS
For your own safety and as the protection of others and not to cause damage to the equipment, please
read the conditions of use of this machine carefully.
Before working, make sure the transmission to the motor is tight (tighten by turning counterclockwise
by hand).
Make sure the poker is tightly screwed into the transmission before working (hold left hand threading
with wrench).
Do not operate the transmission with sharp bends.
Do not over grease the flexible shaft.
Do not hold the poker running out of the concrete for more than 5 minutes.
Do not limit the movement of the vibrator during work.
Do not stop the poker during the vibrating operation.
Replace worn tubes and tips to avoid damage to internal components.
Maintain with recommended types and amounts of lubricants.
