2. Installation
All installation must be carried out at temperatures
above -10
o
C and below 45
o
C to avoid any potential
distortion to the materials. In case of temperatures
below 0
o
C, pipe and fittings will need to be stored at
a higher temperature immediately prior to use.
2.1 removal of pipe packaging
• Take care not to damage pipe when removing the
packaging
• Take care not to damage pipe insulation when
removing the packaging

2.2 Surface mounted installation
• For surface mounted pipe or pipe installed into
false ceilings/floors and ducts the pipe will need
to be adequately supported at regular intervals
depending on pipe diameter.
• For reference to maximum clip spacing’s please
refer to table 2 and image Fig 2.2

2.3 Embedded installation
• For embedded installations the pipe must be
securely fastened with ties spaced at the minimum
of 800mm and 300mm either side of bends or
joints, see fig 2.3
• For this type of system it is recommended to use
pre-insulated pipe to minimise heat loss and gain
or to pass through flexible conduit as a minimum
• For surface embedded press fittings we recommend
that the entire fitting in protected from corrosion by
using purpose designed adhesive tapes or expanding
plastic materials that have been adequately sealed.
