Person a l D a m a ge:
Never operate the heater with the
cold water inlet valve closed or before filling with water
per the filling instructions. Failure to do so will cause
damage and can void element warranty.

Plug 3-1/2 ft. water heater power cord
into a grounded 120 volt A.C. three pin
receptacle. En
s ure that it i s protected
by a 15 to 20 Amp fu s e and i s
grounded in accordance with all local
code
s and ordinance s .
■ ■
The water heater electrical s witch
i s located at the front-top of tan k .
■ ■
Power the tan k by pu s hing s witch
to “ON” po s ition.

Locate the hot water drain s crew at
the front-bottom of the tan k .
■ ■
En s ure the s crew i s tight by turning
cloc k wi s e with a s crewdriver.
■ ■
Open a nearby hot water faucet to
permit air to e
s cape.
■ ■
Fully open the cold water inlet valve,
filling the heater and piping.
■ ■
Leave “hot” faucet open until good
flow of water occur
s (evacuate s air
in line s ).
■ ■
Clo s e hot water faucet.
