If the he

ter stops working:

upplying power to the outlet where the heater i

talled.
If the circuit bre

s tripped:

Have the circuit checked by an electrician to determine if the circuit i
s
overloaded or if a
s
hort exi
s
t

.
If the circuit bre
a
ker h
a
s not tripped:
■
■
Remove the power cord from it
s
receptacle.
■
■
Remove the thermo
s
tat cover on the front of the heater.
■
■
In
s
pect the heater for any frayed or loo
s
e elctrical connection
s
.
■
■
Pu
s
h the red “re
s
et” button at the top of the thermo
s
tat compartment.
■
■
If the button “click
s
” when pu
s
hed,
s
omething ha
s
cau
s
ed the heater to overheat. Leave power cord unplugged and
contact your
s
ervice agency.

If the button doe

not “click” when pu
s
hed, the element ha
s
probably burned out and
s
hould be replaced.

ontact

If the w

ts, or if ste

m is rele

sed from the relief v

lve:

Unplug the power cord immediately.
■

Allow tank to cool.
■
■
Remove the cover on the front of the heater and check that the thermo
s
tat i
s
s
eated firmly again
s
t the front of the tank
and that the mounting bracket i
s
s
nug, but not over tightened.

If there are any continued
s
ign
s
of overheating, di
s
connect the power and contact a qualified
s
ervice per
s
on.
