Limited Water Heater Warranty
5-Year Limited Warranty Against Tank Leakage. InSin k Erator warrant s that the bronze tan k in
your InSin k Erator water heat will not lea k due to defect s in material or wor k man s hip for a period
of five (5) year s after date of original in s tallation. If during thi s five-year period, the tan k lea ks due
to any s uch defect, InSin k Erator will provide a replacement bronze tan k at no charge, s ubject to
the limitation s li s ted below. Thi s warranty applie s only to unit s manufactured after April 1, 1993.
Limitations. Replacement tan ks will be made available through InSin k Erator factory authorized
s ervice agencie s . After the one-year full warranty on the water heater ha s expired, InSin k Erator will
not: offer free replacement of any part s other than the bronze tan k ; pay for the labor to in s pect or
in s tall the replacement bronze tan k or to repair, replace or re-in s tall any other part s of the water
heater; offer any additional warranty on a replacement bronze tan k beyond the unexpired portion
of thi s limited warranty and pay for any permit s required for in s talling a replacement bronze tan k .
Conditions and Exceptions. Thi s limited warranty s hall apply only if: the water heater i s in s talled
according to the in s tallation in s truction s provided by InSin k Erator and in accordance with local
plumbing, building and electrical code s ; the water heater ha s a properly in s talled and rated
temperature and pre ss ure relief valve, certified by the American Ga s A ss ociation; the water
pre ss ure in the tan k ha s not exceeded the wor k ing pre ss ure s hown on the tan k label; the tan k i s
u s ed in a non-corro s ive and non-contaminated atmo s phere and ha s been u s ed only with potable
water; The water heater ha s been in s talled in the continental United State s , including Hawaii and
Ala sk a and the water heater i s in s talled in a s ingle family re s idence or other light u s age area.
Any accident to the water heater, any mi s u s e (including having been operated without water in
the tan k ) or abu s e (including freezing) and any alteration s , modification s or attempt s to repair tan k
lea ks by per s on other than authorized InSin k Erator s ervice repre s entative s , will void the warranty.

Disclaimer and Exclusion. Any and all implied warrantie s , whether or merchantability, fitne ss for
particular purpo s e or otherwi s e, relating to thi s warranty again s t tan k lea k age are limited in
duration to the term of thi s warranty. InSin k Erator will not be re s pon s ible for any incidental or
con s equential damage s , including but not limited to water damage, lo ss of u s e of the bronze tan k ,
lo ss or damage to other per s onal property or per s onal injury. Some s tate s do not allow limitation s
on how long an implied warranty la s t s , s o the above limitation may not apply to you. Al s o, s ome
State s do not allow the exclu s ion or limitation of incidental or con s equential damage s , s o the
above limitation or exclu s ion may not apply to you.
Your Rights. Thi s warranty give s you s pecific legal right s , and you may have other right s which
vary from State to State.
