The
SMARC

iMX8MM
offers
high

performance
processing
for
a
low

power
System
‐
on

Module.
It
perfectly
fits
various
embedded
products,
the
growing
market

portable

streaming
audio/video
devices,
scanning/imaging

and

processors.
The
product
is
based
on
the
NXP

Mini

family

multi

purpose
processors,
featuring
an

Cortex™

A53
up
to
1.8GHz
with
an
additional
400MHz
ARM

core.
This
heterogeneous
multicore
processing
architecture
enables
the
device
to
run
an
open
operating
system
like
Linux
on
the
Cortex
‐
A53
core
and
an
RTOS
like
FreeRTOS™
on
the
Cortex

M4
core
for
time

security
critical
tasks.
The
module
connector
has

edge
fingers
that
mate
with
a
low
profile

pitch
right
angle
connector
(this
connector
is
sometimes
identified
as
an

pin
connector,
but
7
pins
are
lost
to
the
key).
