If the voltage on the valve (V2) remains at 23 V DC, no matter whether the furnace 
is opened or closed, then the electronics are defective. 

If the valve voltage always stays at zero, then either the wire of the valve to the 
microcontroller board is broken or the valve driver is defective. 

If the voltage on the valve (V2) is correct, then the valve itself is defective.

In this case, the combustion of the sample begins immediately after the sample 
enters the furnace area and before having pressed F5 to start analysis. 

Should the combustion start just after closing the furnace then there is a serious 
fault.
