4.3.2 Installing the

AirLancer PCI-11

Briefly touch the computer housing to discharge any static electric charge
built up in your body. Next, disconnect the AC power supply cable from
the rear of the PC housing.

Remove all retaining screws or release the catches for the PC housing
and remove the cover.

A free PCI slot is required for the installation of the

AirLancer

PCI-11

. Before installing the card, remove the blind bracket for the slot

you intend to use.

If your computer is equipped with an AGP graphics board, avoid installing
the PCI card in the PCI slot immediately next to the graphics board if
possible. This may lead to an interrupt conflict between the PCI card and
the AGP graphics board.

Carefully insert the

AirLancer PCI-11

into the free slot. Ensure that

the card is correctly seated in its slot and tighten the screw of the
mounting plate.

Replace the computer case and screw it tight.

Important step for installation under Windows NT 4.0

The AirLancer MC-11 will be installed with IRQ 10 and the address
range '400–437' by default. For the installation under Windows NT 4.0 please
