Adjustment of Cutting Width
When cutting width is too narrow or too wide against
seam width, adjust it as follows.
Turn the cutting width adjusting dial to move the
lower knife to the desired position.
*
The lower knife position can be set at 3–5 mm
from the right needle position.

Guide line on the needle plate
Open the side cover to fully expose the cutting width
adjusting dial and deactivate the upper knife to more
easily turn the dial for wider stitch.
NOTE:
For general sewing, align the outer edge of the lower
knife with the guide line on the needle plate and the
indicator is set at “N”.

Open the side cover to fully expose the cutting width
adjusting dial and deactivate the upper knife to more
easily turn the dial for wider stitch.
(A)
When cutting width is too narrow.
Turn the cutting width adjusting dial clockwise.
Lower knife will move to right.
(B)
When cutting width is too wide.
Turn the cutting width adjusting dial
counterclockwise.
Lower knife will move to left.
Test stitch to check the cutting width.
